The fourth grade students have been working hard on writing personal narratives. The class wrote a personal narrative together. We had a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it!
The End of the World
“It feels like the end of the world. I... am... so... scared!” Chadron Intermediate School is like a haunted house. In the basement, also known as the dungeon, there are little spider webs that look like silly string. The students are brave knights in shining armor. They are very smart and athletic. The teacher seems mysterious. She seems like a worried chicken. Everyone was worried about being in a new class with a new teacher.
We were wondering if we were going to get bad grades. We all felt super scared. Billy Bob Joe cried, “What will my grades be like?” Then I saw my wacky friends; I was so happy. I talked to them about my problem and we decided that we would do our best.
I was also wondering how hard the work would be. Would it be super hard or super easy? As I was thumbing through my book I saw a problem and it looked soooo hard. “One hundred sixty-two divided by three!” I moaned. I wondered when my first test would come and hoped I would do well.
I was thinking in my head, “Did I forget something at home?” I started to fret and checked my backpack. Thankfully everything was there. I raced through the school supply list and checked each item off.
Everyone acted like scared rabbits because they wondered about Chadron Intermediate School and the people and things in it. We met our teacher and some new friends and talked to them about our feelings and our worries. We are so glad that we didn’t die. Well, today wasn’t the end of the world, it was AWESOME! Just wait until fifth grade; it will be waaay worse.
